Public transport to the conference location

From the train station, you can reach the conference location by foot in about 10 minutes.

If you wish to use public transportation, we suggest to take bus No. 20, from the station or the city center, direction Länggasse, till the stop "Mittelstrasse". From there, you can reach the IBMM in few minutes walk (see Google map link above). Please check the Bernese public trabsportation company Bernmobil for the timetable and maps (in German only) or the Swiss railway website SBB (in English).

From the train station, you can reach the conference location also by foot in about 10 minutes.

By train

Bern main station is a large rail hub with connections from/to Germany, France, Italy and Austria, and also from/to all main Swiss cities and airports. Please check the Swiss railway website SBB to search for connections and buy electronic tickets.

By plane 

The main international airports in Switzerland are located in Zürich, Basel and Geneva. Bern airport is a small hub with connections to a few european destinations. All Swiss international airports are well connected to Bern with frequent and fast train rides (max 2h).

By car

From the A1/A12 highway, take the exit Bern-Neufeld. Turn left in the direction of Länggasse. At the traffic light turn right into Bremgartenstrasse and go straight on to the roundabout. Turn left into Länggassstrasse. At the second traffic light turn right into Muesmattstrasse. Take the first on the left which is Freiestrasse. The DCBP is opposite to the church. For daylong parking, we suggest the car parks of the railway station, of the University Hospital or the Parking Stadbach West.

Book your hotel

Bern offers a large variety of hotels of all price categories and styles. You are welcome to book autonomously your preferred hotel through the booking channel of your choice (e.g. booking.com). Every guest of Bernese hotels receives a card to use public transportation in the city free of charge.

Alternative to hotels, the plattform AirBnB.ch offers apartments and rooms in provate properties for short stays. Moreover, a youth hostel is  available in the Aare river quarter.
