This paper, published by K.-H. Altmann, J. Gertsch and their groups, presents an extensive investigation of the structure-activity relationships related to the WOBE437 scaffold, which is a first generation SERI generated within the framework of the NCCR TransCure endocannabinoid transport project. The paper also provides insights into the development of potent endocannabinoid uptake inhibitors with drug-like properties.

In this paper, the group of C. Albrecht and collaborators investigate the causes and underlying mechanisms of gestational diabetes mellitus in pregnant women with elevated iron levels. Their studies, focusing on cellular stress responses leading to dysregulated placental iron homeostasis, provide suggestions for treatments that could protect mother and foetus from this pathologic condition.
