In this paper, P. Bezzi and collaborators showed that prefrontal cortex astrocytes play a role in the dopamine modulation of cognitive performances. This has implications for the understanding of psychiatric disorders.

The teams of R.-P. Charles, K.-H. Altmann and J. Gertsch explored the effects of the inhibition of the L-type amino acid transporter 1 (LAT1/SLC7A5) on thyroid carcinoma, and proposed this approach as a novel therapeutic path especially for untreatable thyroid cancers.
